Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Ron Talis, DPM

 Dr. Talis received his undergraduate degree in Arts and Sciences from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio.  He went onto a doctorate from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, and completed a three year Podiatric medicine and surgery residency at one of the top podiatry residencies in the country, New York Hospital Queens. 

Dr. Talis is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the North Carolina Foot and Ankle Society and a  Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Dr. Talis is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle surgeons in Foot Surgery, and is also Board Certified in Reconstructive Rear-foot and Ankle Surgery.

He is a sought after lecturer at State and National Level meetings.

Dr. Talis has served as Chief of Podiatry at Womack Army Medical Center. He has taught and mentored Resident Doctors, performed over a thousand surgical procedures, and helped thousands of patients achieve their goals.

 

Dr. Elene Papakostas, DPM

Dr. Papakostas received her undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Sciences from Brooklyn College in New York City. 

She completed her doctorate degree from the New York College of Podiatric medicine. She competed her residency at at the prestigious Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City where she was trained by leading physicians in Manhattan on the most advanced cosmetic surgical treatments.

Dr. Papakostas volunteered in numerous marathon events treating patients with sports medicine related foot and ankle conditions. She has a special interest and is passionate about treating children and young adults with foot and ankle concerns ranging from warts to flat foot. She has treated thousands of patients with diabetes and diabetic foot concerns.

Dr. Papakostas is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the North Carolina Foot and Ankle Society.

Dr. Aranas

Dr. Aranas graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Science degree. She went on to receive her doctorate degree from the California School of Podiatric Medicine. She then completed her surgical training at Jerry L. Pettis Memorial VA Medical Center.

After graduation, Dr. Aranas joined the VA Podiatry team as an attending physician where she continued to care for Veterans in both a clinical and hospital setting. She also took part in the clinical and surgical training of resident doctors.

Dr. Aranas is an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
